, many kinds of robots are used in the world . Have you noticed this ? For example, robots are used to make cars and food .
Last month I went to a robot show with my friends . I saw many interesting robots there : walking robots , speaking robots
and other kinds , too . Today , some scientists are trying hard to make robots which can feel , think and move like humans . You have seen those robots on TV or in the movies
, haven't you ?
Now , friends , What kind of robots will be good to make the world better ? One of my friends thinks robot fire fighters will be very useful . But , we also need robots
which help us when we take care of old people . This is my idea . Don't you think these are good ideas ?
I think humans and robots will be able to live and work together to build a better world . And I hope robots will be our friends in the future . |

Hello . Fall is here in Japan . How is the weather in Australia ? I hope you are fine . Today , I have very good news to tell you . Do you still remember my speech about
robots ? After my speech , Our class became very interested in robots . So we decided to study about them for our school festival . Makoto and I are in the same group and
our group is studying about karakuri-ningyo for the festival .
Look at the picture with this letter . It's a karakuri-ningyo . The first karakuri-ningyo was made about three hundred years ago .
Some people say it was the first robot made in Japan . You wanted to know the history of Japanese robots , didn't you ? So I'll be glad if you like this picture . I'll tell
you more about the school festival next time .
Well , I'm studying science very hard now . After school I often go to the school library to study . I hope I can visit Australia some day and talk about robots with you and your
science teacher .
